TENAVO
REVIEWS
Right from the source
I have 3 rice cookers total, including this Tenavo. Truly I don't know how to feel about this purchase. If you have time, please read through my review. If not, just go ahead and buy it!!
As you could see from my quick video, I own a Tiger JKT-S10U which I purchased from Amazon probably 5-7 years ago. It's a 5.5 cups made in Japan series. It was about $350 at the time. It still works great but I want something better and bigger (We are family of 6, 1 teenager boy and 3 kids, all are eaters!!). So last year I bought a 10 cups Cuckoo rice cooker model CRP-GHSR1009F which costed me a little over $600. Let me note that I am usually a Made in Japan fan when it comes to rice cooker, not just Japan brands in general. I got the Cuckoo mainly because people were raving about the brand and that particular model has the size and color I like. It makes good rice still, though. I am not going to talk deep into that. Anyway, I got this Tenavo rice cooker only for travel purpose. It is small and the cable is removable. And yeah, it's Asian life, we need rice whenever wherever. I got this rice cooker from last month but I didn't try it out until last week when we stayed in the hotel in Florida. We literally just got home today and I couldn't wait to share this review with ya all (that's also why you saw the Tenamo rice cooker was on top of my stove in the video because I just unpacked it from my luggage and waiting for the inner pot to dry before I put it back into its box). This rice cooker is a real champion, like small but mighty. It is very basic but like all it needs to do is make perfect rice, right? I cooked rice twice during our trip. Both times I cooked 3 cups which is also the limit of the rice cooker. I measured the water using the Asian finger method which for me is 1.5 line (many people don't realize everyone finger length is slightly different so the water measure by finger can vary depending on their finger). Anyway, my finger method matches the water suggestion line inside the pot pretty well. I would say maybe around 0.1-0.2cm different but that's also because I prefer my rice just right on the soft side. Again, this is just to say if you are not confident with ur rice cooking skill, then just follow the lines. For example, 3 cups then water to line #3. The manual books said the rice takes about 25-50' to cook depending on the amount of rice. In my case, I cooked 3 cups each time which is the limit of the pot and it took about 25-30' minutes to complete cooking. Again, rule of thumb, after the light changes (no matter what kind of cooker u have) in this case then after the light changed to Keep Warm, make sure u wait til the rice cooker release all the air and even better wait 5-10' AFTER the air released to open the lid, then the rice will be truly cooked nicely. If you done otherwise, no worries, it still cooked just tastes lesser than perfection. I showed u photos of the cooked white rice using this Tenavo rice cooker. So nice, right? I also included a photo of the rice on the day after (without leaving the rice cooker on to keep warm) and u could see it still looked so soft and fluffy.
Now you get it why I have such a mixed feeling about this purchase. I own a restaurant, and I had always a fan of Japan rice cooker and I spent good money on my rice cooker, but I could never imagine a cheaper rice cooker Made in China that I only bought to serve occasionally on my travels would cook rice this delicious. Seriously I would buy this brand rice cooker again in a heart beat if they have it in size 10 cups. This rice cooker made my Cuckoo purchase feel unnecessary except for the fact it can cook enough rice for my family.
This little thing right here is good looking, compact and makes delicious rice in standard time without a bunch of unnecessary functions that newer electric products always try to add on. A rice cooker just needs to cook good rice, period. Most of the time anything that is all in one can never be too good.
If you are on the edge about this purchase, dont be. Trust me. You will love it.
P/S: it comes with all the toys u need: steamer rack, measure cup, rice spoon. The golden inner pot in the pic is the inner pot of the Tenamo, next to it is the inner pot of the Tiger (3cups vs 5.5 cups). The rice in the pictures with the inner pot on my hand is the right after one day cooking, without leaving the rice cooker on aka without keeping warm mode (like the rice when it is already cold).

Since I live a keto/low carb lifestyle, and my husband does not, this Tenavo Electric Hot Pot has been a great addition to my kitchen needs when I’m wanting to make meals only for me.
I do homemade keto soups & chili very often, and the convenience of having this adorable hot pot is worth every penny.
I love how it takes up very little space, and it’s also pretty easy to clean. The insert does NOT come out, but the cord is removable, so just make sure you’re careful not letting water get into the plug area, and you’ll be all set.
This would make a wonderful gift for a college kid, someone living a small apartment, an elderly loved one, or to keep in your office, etc.
We are going on vacation next month, and this hot pot will definitely be tagging along with me, as it has become a staple in my every day cooking.

I recently purchased an induction cooktop with 10 power settings and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. The cooktop heats up quickly and is very precise, allowing me to adjust the heat to the exact temperature I need for each recipe.
One of my favorite dishes to make on the induction cooktop is steak. The cooktop's high heat setting is perfect for searing the steak to a perfect medium-rare. To make the dish, I start by seasoning the steak with salt, pepper, and any other desired spices. I then heat a small amount of oil on the cooktop's high heat setting and sear the steak for about 3 minutes on each side.
Once the steak is seared, I reduce the heat to medium and continue cooking the steak to the desired level of doneness. The induction cooktop's precise temperature control allows me to cook the steak exactly how I like it without worrying about it being under or overcooked.
I am very happy with my induction cooktop and highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and precise cooking appliance. Its various power settings and quick heat-up time make it a versatile and convenient choice for any home chef.
